Meatloaf, at the least the way my mom would make it growing up, is ground beef mixed with bread crumbs, parsley, egg, ketchup and mustard, and baked in a tall sided casserole dish.
Shell's recipe is here: web page and uses ground turkey instead, and a few different ingredients, but same basic idea. It's kinda like what the name suggests, made like a loaf of bread, but just made with meat.
(yes, I know I'm a vegetarian, but I've only been one for about 5 years now...)
