How about chicken breasts, or sliced deli chicken or turkey - check there's no added milk proteins in it, better to get the shaved slices rather than the more processed ones. Fish is good too, even oily fish like tuna and salmon seem ok for most people. Soy is also more protein than carb, how about TVP? Also, perhaps go for the safer veg rather than all the grains and potatoes, like carrots, squashes, parsnips, rutabagas. Heather's book also lists chestnuts. Some of these will still be high-ish carb, but perhaps better than others. Sarah
