Hi - I am so sorry to hear this. I have not heard of peppermint oil interacting with any medications, but your story is exactly why you always need to make sure your doc and pharmacist are aware of all drugs/supplements/medical foods/herbs you are using, as they will have the best info about possible interactions and contraindications.
Please check with your doc and see if you are able to use peppermint tea, or fennel tea, or if you must avoid all herbs completely with your heart medication. They may also have details on whether this is an interaction that happens only when things are taken directly together, or if this would happen even if you are taking things at different times of the day. Hopefully they have a lot of detailed info for you so you can use your heart medication without wondering about other interactions.
Please let me know any additional information you find, and of course please return the peppermint oil caps, open or not, to wherever you bought them for a full refund.
