If I were to pick a song, it would probably be "Ice, Ice Baby," primarily because it was such a HUGE hit, and now everyone kind of laughs at it.
If I were to pick an album, though, I'd probably go with Pearl Jam's _Ten_. It reminds me of being younger and in love and making out in a car or crying, depending on the status of things. 
Like Jen said, the high school years were all about grunge. My college years (also the 90s) I associate more with all the female artists: Sarah McLachlan, Alanis, Jewel, Fiona Apple...
I LOVE THE 1990s!!! (And yes, I did watch the series on VH1.)
