Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

My grandmother is having to move into an assisted living place in a couple weeks. The reason is because of my aunt wanting to move back to where she used to live. My aunt recently moved in with my grandmother to help her with a few things after my grandfather passed away. It's a long story, but this is the second time my aunt has moved in with my grandparents and then up and moved away because she got bored (it was her idea!). So everyone is a little upset with my Aunt. The deal is grandma wants me to have her sewing machine....I am thrilled that she wants me to have it and thought rather than have my dad pick it up when he is there, I'd go and spend some time with grandma and she can show me how it works, etc. So I am going tomorrow by myself....my dog is going with me, too. I thought I'd surprise grandma and take my dog because she has been wanting to see him....and he'll enjoy the trip. It's about a 2 1/2 hour trip. The problem is that I really don't want to spend any time with my Aunt because of the situation she has caused, etc. But there is no way to get around it and not hurt grandmas feelings. So I will visit with her too. I was hoping to have some private time with grandma, but I don't think it will happen. I'm also trying to figure out what I could take or pick up for the three of us for lunch so that grandma doesn't have to plan anything and I don't have to worry about what my aunt will fix and so that we don't have to go out somewhere and we can spend more time visiting about the sewing machine, etc. What would you do?
