I admire you guys. I'm going to put it out there - I really and truly admire you guys! Especially you, Steph! I did the whole rice-chicken-bread thing for about a month and I got really really excited because I lost like, 10 pounds doing that. Then I got so sick of the plain-ness that went out and ate at McDonald's (I had like, 8 chicken nuggets and a large fry.....yeah, yeah. I know!) and the next morning I wasn't feeling well at ALL! So then I thought that maybe I had just gone waaaay too overboard and had gone too fast with re-adjusting back to junk food. SO then I slowly started adding more and more things back in.
Then I go to my GI and he gives me this list of foods that showed the following things as foods that I should eat more of to help my IBS: *Dairy *Veggies *Fruits *Grains *Sprite/7-UP/any clear soda
So I'm like, "YES, I can still eat ice cream!!" So I went home and ate a big bowl. Very smart...
SOOOOO then I knew that this guy had no clue (And he even claimed that he had IBS himself!!) and we switched to one that worked at a hospital nearby. He's the one that told me the whole mental-power theory. I believe it somewhat because I'm like you, Steph. I can get overly anxious and then that always triggers it and I feel an attack coming on. Which makes me more anxious because I'm usually trapped in a room.....
Anyways, I guess I'm jsut on my own with you guys as my backup! I love you all, too!!!! Thanks!
