Decaf ONLY!

Welcome to the Boards. You came to the right place. Your doctor diagnosed IBS? Did you have a colonoscopy?
Yes, I got snaked. The drugs were by far the best part of the procedure, and they found nothing wrong. I did spasm nicely during the procedure so my doctor knew for sure what was going on. That hurt only a little though, thanks to the dope. I said I wanted enough to take out a Clydesdale and my doctor cooperated nicely

The first thing to do is get Heather's book, "The First Year." Check the link to your left. If it were me, I'd zoom out to the closest book store and get it right away, then I'd curl up in bed with a cup of "Tummy Mint" herbal tea, and read it cover-to-cover. You will get SOOOO much better when you do!
I plan to find the book TODAY. I absolutely LOVE Celestial Seasonings' Tummy Mint tea, and Chamomile (both decaf).

Are you a C or a D? An A? I'm a D (never had C, thankfully). Do you like to cook? You'll love the Recipe Board -- great dishes in there!
I'm D, which is so NOT fun. Especially when you're out somewhere and then WHAM! I need to find a bathroom like yesterday.

You'll need a good soluble fiber supplement. A lot of us take Heather's acacia -- it's great stuff! Check the link to your left.
My doctor recommended FiberCon, and I bought a bottle of the caplets to try. Since I tend to get gas, there was no psyllium in those, so hopefully I won't bloat :-P

Again, welcome! You'll be glad you came.

Thanks a bunch, I hope to learn a lot and find food that won't make my belly go belly-up
