Hey Lilybear, So you're thinking about distance education eh? Well, I hope I can be helpful I personally really like it, I enjoyed my first year at University (real classes) but with my health problems and the fact that I work full-time, I was hardly ever actually attending class anyways. The biggest thing about distance edcuation is that you really have to be self-motivated, because they don't set the exams and tests dates for you, so you have to be willing to push yourself to get it done. Some of the things I like about Athabasca are it's flexibility, courses start on the 1st day of every month, and you have up to 12 months to finish a course, but you can finish earlier if you want. When you're ready to write the exam you just have to give them notice and arrange for a place to write it (they have a huge list of places you can go where they have proctors) and then you're all set! Plus, they have excellent tutors and education advisors, it really isn't that much different then "regular" school except that you don't go to class! So if you're someone who really needs live instruction it might be hard, but if you're a self-learner, it's pretty cool! If you need any more info let me know, I'd be happy to help! Kelly
