no it doesn't have to be from meat at all. since i explained that i don't do dairy or red meat she said just to read all the labels on soy products and add up the totals. for example for breakfast i can have toast with 2tbs peanut butter (or any nut butter) and a soy yogurt and a piece of fruit, then mid-morning have a protein bar (like luna/clif/odwalla) and a soy chai to add up to my morning total.
the only eat turkey and chicken (however raw chicken brings on nausea and I don't know why!) and fish. she advised me to eat shrimp because it has a ton of protein (22g in 6 med shrimp or something like that).
I'm gonna look into protein powder though since this is just TOOO much to eat otherwise! My gut can't handle it. I felt sick (STUFFED) all through my seminar and I had a whole turkey sub at 1pm and didn't go to class until 7pm. Maybe it just takes a while to get used to it.

I wasn't trying to lose weight per se, but I suddenly gained 10lbs out the blue without changing anything about my diet. Kinda fishy! She said the weight should come off and I'd be back at my usual 97lbs (I'm only 5ft, don't worry, I'm not insane!). I'd rather be around 92, but for now I'm just concerned about getting energy back.

let me know if you decide to try this. i'll keep you posted if i notice changes in engery levels.
