Hey guys, so the 24 hr PH test measures the acidity levels in your stomach for, well, 24 hrs. They numb up your nose (not much fun) and put a catheter down it, and then you wear it down your esophogus for 24 hrs. It's hooked up to what looks like a CD player that records the info. All of this sucks, including the fact that the bottom of the tube kinda hurts when I talk, breathe, eat, or swallow, but the worst part is that it comes out of my nose and is taped up the side of my face. Very, very attractive.
Anyway, it's a test for GERD and GERD related stuff. On the plus side, I can tell you that 30 cm down my stomach it's 5.8 on the PH scale, and 20 cm down it's 7.5. Vaguely interesting, huh?
