The ideal job is having no job at all. Unfortunately, whenever it's a "job," then it ceases to be "ideal." I used to love to sew, especially with my dear mother-in-law. I did the machine work, she did the hand work. We worked well together and loved it. People at the office noticed my clothes and asked if I would sew for them. Okay, great, mom and I had a business. We sewed for people. Very soon it ceased being enjoyable. It became a chore. I gave it up and haven't gone back to it since.
Since then I took up stained glass. Took lots of classes and got pretty good at it. When we moved to the float home in Canada, and had my work hanging in all our windows, everyone up there wanted to commission me to do pieces for them. Fortunately, the government up there prohibited us from making money in Canada, so I was able to politely decline. I don't want to give up my stained glass as I did my sewing.
