It depends, person to person individually. Like I said, my best friend is British, though she was raised in Belgium. Taken as a WHOLE yeah, they hate Americans. Every single week in the school paper there were at least two editorials on why Americans suck, and that gets old fast. Individually, I wouldn't say they're any more snobby than Americans. I found it hard to make friends cold, but when I got involved with activities, or my British friends introduced me to their other friends it wasn't a problem at all. They have to get over the idea of you as an ugly GWB loving flag waving American, and get to know you. That takes some work.  Now, my friend Angela, who is Korean, she had it a lot worse than me. She faced continuous, loud, racism. That sucked.
