After the discussions that have taken place on this message board lately I would just like to say something and I'll try to keep it short.
This is a place for people with bowel issues. Many people find bowel issues extremely embarrassing to talk about. These message boards should be a safe place to ask any question you might have regarding bowel issues without being judged or left feeling even more embarrassed.
As long as posts are about bowel issues only I don't see any reason for anyone to get upset about the content as this is what these boards are for. However, I do have a couple of suggestions for people who post:
*Stick to the original subject in a thread so that people don't risk starting to read a thread thinking it's about a certain subject only to notice the subject changing further down the thread. If you want to change the subject then make a new post.
*If you write about something that you think might offend someone, even if you don't find anything offensive about it yourself, then simply add a label to the subject line of the post, such as "reader discretion" or some hint about the content so that people who might find the content offensive can avoid these posts.
I also think it's important for readers on the forum to think about through which glasses we are reading so to speak. Don't assume the worst about people. Just because you may think a post implies something between the lines, that doesn't mean that this was the intention of the person who wrote the post.
Let's take responsibility both as readers and posters to make this forum a friendly and safe place to get help and support.
