It's been quite a while since I have posted anything, but, occasionally visit - checking for new advice/information.

Tonight, I have to say, I was quite disappointed in many of the posts I read. Don't we have enough stress in our own lives, first of all just living with IBS +, without bickering? Honestly!

Most of the people who were on here when I first began, no longer post, other than Janey, Toady, Syl, Dragonfly and maybe a couple others. But, the change is unbelievable.

As someone posted - everyone "used to" support each other - there was genuine care and concern - even about you and your families.

If you disagree with a post, can't you just let it go? (I'm not referring to Little Minnie or others who are moderators - they are knowledgeable in this area and Heather's protocol - it's their job to give out good information. And, this is "Heather's website" - her protocols, she didn't charge you to post on here - it's a gift for us to find "community".) There's a difference between saying "this didn't work for me" than just outright saying "you're wrong"! At the age of 60 and having gone through this since age 12, one thing I have found is no one is exactly the same and there is no "one cure fits all".

This used to be a place for healing and you could ask absolutely ANYTHING, without fear of rejection and condemnation.

It's been a rough few months for me and now another death in my family, but I don't think I would dare to share. Enough stress, as it is.

The people I mentioned above, plus the ones who used to be on here, were always warm, responsive, encouraging and I thank them all for all their kind words and advice.

To you newer people, we're all in the same boat - some bigger, some smaller - but if Noah had gone through all this, he would probably have thrown many overboard!

There is no gain in arguing for the sake of arguing - reading some of this actually made my stomach hurt!

Here's hoping you can all experience what I first did when I found this place: acceptance and empathy, as well as advice. Did I heed all the advice? Of course not. Did everyone heed advice I gave? Of course not. Did we have WWIII - certainly not!

Stepping down from my soapbox and wishing you all a miraculous 2010!

Blessings! ~ Dorothy

P.S. "Hello" to all the names I didn't see who were so kind to me, like "Emmasmom" and many others.
