This is so VERY true! Unfortunately doctors today use the IBS diagnosis very loosely, absent appropriate tests, and starting with a colonoscopy. The end result may very well be IBS, though the actual 'cause' may include more than simply IBS. I was one that was fortunate that the colonscopy revealed the cause for my symptoms, major spasms in the descending colon, no polyps, no tumors. I have no other symptoms that would require the need for any further testing at this time.

Also, self-diagnosis absent any tests could end up unnecessarily fatal in the end!

For symptom control for anything that involves constipation and/or diarrhea, Heather's products are the very BEST!... as is following an IBS diet. Even so, one does need to have some things ruled out before we 'assume' anything as to cause. Polyps and tumors can lurk in the colon, and result in the same symptoms as simple IBS does.

Never 'assume' anything when it comes to your life and your health.
