I'm so sorry you are having to go through this. My dr. says the colon, when irritated, spasms and sometimes actually twists... maybe that's what was happening. But, the upper GI you're having done should show this. However much I hate confrontations, I have found I have to be my own advocate - I think your dr. having you wait until Sept. to get test results is ridiculous. If he's a busy dr. he was just probably booked until then, but you have a right to say that's not acceptable - no one should have to wait that long for test results. Do you feel comfortable calling his office staff and telling them you need an earlier appointment? As my 33-year-old daughter (& now my mentor says...give me his number, I'll tell him!
