Hi Amanda.... So sorry you are feeling so bad. You sound alot like me. My mornings are the worst for me, too. As soon as I wake up, my tummy starts gurgling and I usually have anywhere from one to 6 BMs before leaving for work. Some mornings are better than others...but then it might hit me in the afternoon. I exercise, try to eat right, etc., etc. I will share something with you....I tend to have fewer attacks when I am taking nothing....no vitamins, no fiber, no peppermint caps, nothing extra to my diet. I just try to eat healthy as possible, get plenty of exercise and rest and try not to stress about things. It's extremely hard for me not to stress, but I'm getting a bit better as time goes by. I've tried taking "tummy fiber", I've tried Citrucel, I've tried Metemucil, I've tried peppermint caps, etc., etc. I've tried adhereing to the diet, etc. I've basically tried everything. I, too, have a prescription for Lomotil, but still only use Imodium chewables. I never leave home without 4 in my pocket just in case. I keep them in my pocket so that if I have an attack I can just take chew them in the restroom and nobody has to see me fumbling for them in my purse. Most days when it's bad I rarely use more than 3. But, 4 is the limit for the daily dose, so if I have four in my pocket, I know how many I've taken that way. I guess, after so much rambling, what I'm trying to say is maybe if you tried to go without all the stuff you are taking...peppermint caps, etc. for a while and see if you feel better. It might be worth a try. It seems to work for me to just try and eat healthy and get exercise and rest. {{{hugs}}}
