I was in a 4 year relationship when one day I realized that we weren't in love anymore - just going through the motions. I realized I didn't need a boyfriend to keep me happy and broke it off with him. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made (even though he did stalk me for a year!) because I changed in many different ways: moved, felt more free, etc. I think I'm making up for my lack of being single, though, as I am having TOO much fun and have been avoiding relationships like the plague! I will settle down one day - I have tons of time. The physical aspect of the relationship was one of the reasons I broke it off - however, it wasn't the only reason. Hopefully you and your significant other can work it out, or realize when the spark is gone.
