I had trouble getting diagnosed at first, because of this. One doctor actually told me that he saw nothing strange about me always having diarrhoea and getting so dehydrated that I had to have rehydration drinks ALL the time!! Grrrr.
But then I saw a doctor who is really cool and has been great about referring me to the best people. He's also been really interested in learning about IBS from me. I've even had students and nurses sit in on appointments so that they can learn too!
They're hard to find, but some doctors are ok. But I ahve to admit, I can't stand the profession in general.
