Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

Hey Guys,

Sorry for my lack of presence recently, I've been job searching like crazy and it's been keeping me pretty busy.

Anyways, it paid off because Friday I was offered a job with a local computer company that seems really good for me...it's an administrative assistant position and it's a real "make it your own" type job.

Thing is, for the first time ever, I really scared. I mean really scared...my tummy is acting up, and while I don't even think I have IBS anymore I've been stuck running to the toilet all day and now I'm feeling incredibly nauseous too. So bad that I think I may need to take a Gravol only I know I shouldn't do that because it'll knock me out on my ass with the other sedatives I'm taking and I may not wake up in time to get to work.

So ... any advice? I'm so sorry to be back here asking for advice when I've been absent but I'm not having any luck. I've tried doing the typical things that relax me and calm me down but nothing is working. I just keep bursting into tears...I think it's because that stupid place fired me and told me nobody liked me. This place is much smaller (I've already met half the staff and they seem to like me) but now I've got this terrible fear that no one is going to like me and they are just going to throw me out on my ass like the other job did.
