Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

Hey Guys,

It just occurred to me that while I posted about my questions concerning having an MRI done, I forgot to ask if any of you had any tips for dealing with an inner ear infection? It's apparently viral and it's really annoying...the vertigo is terrible and then that causes headaches and nausea and it's just not fun.

I read on the Mayo site that they recommend not sleeping on the affected ear (which of course is the side I ALWAYS sleep on) so that's a bit annoying. Plus, I always sleep on my right side, and then put an earplug in my left ear because I'm a light sleeper. If I have to switch and sleep on my left side, I assume I shouldn't be putting the earplug in the affected ear either right? It sucks because I didn't get any sleep last night...and of course the doctors advice was just rest, fluid and don't drive (helpful).

Anyways, I know I've had these before but I think I was about 9 the last time so I don't remember anything...so any suggestions would be really appreciated
