Hi there,
I hope I'm not too late! Have a fantastic time on your trip, by the way!
Anywho, I had a little trouble eating out in England but I did find quite a few places that I used regularly. Indian food is EVERYWHERE and I managed to eat at most of them with no problems. There are a lot of restaurants that offer a lot of different grilled chicken dishes, without sauce. Make sure you just ask about cream in sauces. Then rice, good. And then check that the naan bread isn't made with milk.. sometimes it is.
My FAVOURITE restaurant in England was called "Ergens", it was a Turkish restaurant. Again, the grilled chicken is DIVINE and they have lots of IBS-safe sauces. I ate there when my stomach was at it's touchiest and I NEVER had an attack and the food was to die for! So check around and see about Turkish, or other European restaurants.
Italian restaurants are all over the place too, but I had to be an "annoying orderer" at them because for most, every dish had SOMETHING that bothered me. But go ahead and be annoying, I say! Better to enjoy a meal stress-free than to not know what you are eating.
There are lots of noodle houses and things, but I would avoid these. Other than the rice, most things are in sauce and seem to be pre-made as they come out in like 2 minutes! I'd say MSG galore, too!
French restaurants usually have a lot of grilled chicken or fish, and are usually pretty accomodating I found in various parts of London.
Good luck, hope you have a wonderful time!
Cheers, mate! ![](/messageboards/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif) Steph
