Okay, you are kind of confusing two guys. The first one, Michael, I met through friends. He's the one who had an issue about my religion, and we did break up. At least, we had a fight that I was too drunk to remember and I left the bar crying and we never spoke again.

Annnnnyway, a couple weeks later is when I met the one at my brothers' church, and my brother very non-smoothly introduced us. We have to call him R, because his name is unusual enough that if he googles himself he will find this post. So, we met at a church dinner, instant chemistry, chatted all evening. He came over to my brother's the next day for a little party, hung out the whole day. He called me a couple days later and we made a date for that weekend. Our first date was amazing and we ended up spending most of the weekend together. That was two months ago, and I've seen him at least 3 or 4 times a week since then. It's just been so easy with us. No drama, no fights, no questions about whether or not we're seeing other people, none of that. He's really just everything on my list, everything I want in a person. He's smart (masters in chemistry, works as a research scientist, but wants to get his MBA and get into finance), responsible, religious, close to his family, old-fashioned enough to know that I appreciate chivalry and traditional dating roles but modern enough that he wants an educated, ambitious career gal, amazing with my niece and nephew, into the same activities (we've gone salsa dancing, to the opera, to yankees games, movies, Home Depot ... ), and ridiculously good looking. He's a dead ringer for Pete Sampras, actually, which is really funny. He's also just totally sweet and caring. He came over when I got a horrendous stomach virus about 2 weeks into the relationship. He took amazing care of me while I had a really high fever and was throwing up. Even cleaned my bathroom! He's coming to my graduation (in 3 weeks!) and has no qualms about sitting through the whole thing with my parents (whom he hasn't yet met), and is just an all-around great guy. Ashley (Dr. Spice) and I were just saying today that he probably has ex girlfriends in his freezer, because NOBODY can be this perfect! So, we'll see where it goes. I told him right from the start that I am not into serious relationships that don't go anywhere, told him all about how things went with my ex, etc. He's totally on the same page, promised not to waste my time, etc, and said that I should know "one way or the other" within about 4 or 5 months, which I think is totally reasonable. I'm not in any kind of rush to get married, but I refuse to have another relationship that lasts 2 or 3 years and then ends. It's too painful. He's 28, seems as ready as I am to settle down, and doesn't date for fun either. So hopefully it will work out. And if it doesn't, hopefully it will end before I get too much more attached. So, that's the story!
How's married life treating you?
