Hey Guys,
So, I finally saw my doctor again today. Good news, they have found a good endocrinologist who is willing to take me on Bad news, she still hasn't given them a date she can see me Please cross your fingers for me that it won't be months and months as I can't take this crap much longer.
Anyways, I basically begged the doctor for something to help me sleep...I told him how desperate I'm getting and that I get pretty close to suicidal some nights having to be up so late (or early depending on how you look at it) no matter what I try. I also told him about my Dad's wedding next weekend and how I can't be a zombie at the altar. So, he finally gave me something. Thing is, from what I've heard he gave me something really heavy-duty. Apparently Ambien and Lunesta aren't available in Canada yet (those were the ones I mentioned)...so he gave me Chloral Hydrate. Has anyone heard of this or tried it? I'm a little scared because some people over at CrazyBoards told me that it's really heavy duty...but then again, maybe that's what I need.
I also had some funny blood test results...you might remember I posted that the doctors were wondering if I might have estrogen dominance? Well, they did some hormone testing and it came back kinda funny. My estrogen levels were actually low, but they said that was normal because apparently the BC pills I'm on are progesterone dominant so my estrogen should be low. My LH and FSH were fine, but my testosterone was almost non-existent. I have no idea what to make of that? Any ideas?
My doctor didn't know either so he just gave me copies of all the blood work and told me to take it to my gynecologist.
If anyone has any input I'd really appreciate it
