My doc put me on Lipitor and within a month it went down to 180. It was fantastic. I have to take a blood test every 6 months to be sure there is no problem with my liver. Lipitor can possibly cause liver problems but it's rare. As long as you do regular blood tests you are safe. The best part is that I have no side effects, even though there are a list of them. I usually am very sensitive to meds but this one has worked great for me. No tummy problems from it at all. Of course, diet & exercise are very important, too.
