Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

i go monday the 27th to get checked, for my back pain and also the pain on my right side... im a lil nervous cause last time i was there, she gave me zoloft to take.. she said i sounded a lil depressed..i didnt like that she gave them to me after talking to me for five mins..it was only my 2nd visit with her..and im nervous about taking pills so im gonna tell her i dont want to take them.. i dont feel depressed, im just unhappy sometimes.. ok maybe thats a lil depressed but nothing too bad, i was wondering, if i asked her, is it possible to talk to someone, without having to take meds?? someone told me i can get counseling for the ibs and other things thats wrong with me, i've never heard of that though.. and i dont want to be on meds unless it really came down to it but i dont feel i have to be right now.. so does anyone know if i can talk to someone about my problems and refuse any depression meds for now? i dont have anything against pills..or people on them ..its just me, i hate taking any kind of medicine..(i hope that doesnt sound bad!)
