Quote: I knew you'd all understand! I feel better just hearing you from you guys. I know it will grow, and it's "just hair"...but did I mention it also has the added bonus of making me look about 15 years older? Not good! Beth, this reminded me of something. In fifth grade my mother permed my hair, but the home-perm kit turned out to only be enough for the front part of my hair! I went to school w/ really tight curls in front, super straight hair in back, which I wore in a pony tail. My classmates said I looked strange. One said I looked just like his grandmother! Another said I looked like Miss Beadle, the teacher on Little House on the Pairie! It didn't help that I had also gotten glasses that same week and that I picked out a very unflattering pair (they were lavender colored). The other day I was looking through photos and found one taken during this very awkward time. It seems like my mother documented every embarrassing moment of my childhood. Still, I've never laughed so hard at myself! I feel like I could pass for my mom's sister. Well, maybe not that much older!
I'd post a pic, if I had a digital camera. But, I remain a ghost writer until I inheret some money or a camera. I never take good pics anyhow.
