Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Cancer and the Relay for Life..

jeez.. what a week.. Cancer has touched our lives in so many ways. I am the team captain for my offices relay team each year. Anyway- last night was the kickoff meeting after last weekend when I found out my uncle (father of my cousin the breast cancer survivor who is 3 weeks older then me) has an unknown form of cancer- they found a secondary tumor, but have yet to determine the primary and source! scary!

Anyway- when asked I couldn't say no and wound up getting drafted to lead a committee- not sure which one yet- I told them I'd do the one I want, but there is another I am overly qualified for and don't want to do (treasurer and finance) The person in charge of the overall relay is going to meet me Monday and I'll find out if he could find someone else to do either committee and get assigned one or get to pick if not... ah well..

Wish me luck at not getting in over my head and not being totally buried in Relay on top of Cassi's wedding plans between now and May!
