Caused mainly because the liver constantly produces bile but as it no longer has place to store it it drips constantly through intestines. Eventually in most cases the liver learns to adjust. In some cases such as mine the bile duct that is clipped off where gall bladder was acts as a storage area and expands slightly. However the chemicals the gall bladder uses to break down extra fat no longer exist so it will not form new gallstones apparently except in rare circumstances. I got that information from a liver specialist on the intrnet as I was wondering why I was still having pains for a while after gall bladder was gone. Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
