I'm so sorry Shell That's really tough...you and your family and Uncle Don will be in my thoughts.
Just as a side-note, the cancer treatment that my Mom received was a brand-new ultra-aggressive treatment for esophageal cancer (she had pancreatic cancer). Granted, it didn't work but in her case it was a real last-ditch effort. So if you're interested in knowing specifically what they were giving her I'd be happy to help you out (I just don't know off the top of my head).
