Hello friends!
Well, I can't say I was surprised at the election results. If anything, I was more suprised that the liberals got as many seats as they did as all week they have been predicting a landslide win for the Conservatives.
I voted NDP, and the candidate in my riding got in so I am happy about that. My boyfriend told me that voting for NDP was a "wasted vote" because it wasn't a major player of the big two. I told him that reasoning like that is not what Canada about, and then called him a foreigner, hee hee. He is just bitter 'cause he can't vote. ![](/messageboards/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif)
We'll see how things go. As a minority government, they have a lot to go through before anything changes so I think it'll be a pretty slow process. I am all for lower taxes, but I figure if they lower my taxes I'll be bankrupt if I wanna go to the dentist, so... meh. An exageration, but I am curious to see how things will go. ![](/messageboards/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif)
Either way, I did my part so now I can complain as much as I want when things go wrong! Hee hee, just kidding.
Cheers! --Steph
