Just wanted to share my news of my fun trip to Toronto. I went there to see Les Miserables and had an awesome time. It was my fifth time seeing it and I'm still not sick of it We stayed at a hotel that was 3 minutes from the theatre so that was totally awesome. Thanks to everyone who posted suggestions regarding food, we ended up getting stuck in rush hour traffic and being late getting into the city so we had to eat at the hotel to make up time...it was ok, overpriced for what it was but didn't upset the ol' tummy.
Now, I know Jamie (JBI) posted a few days ago about all the famous people he met during the Toronto Film Festival ... and to be honest I was hoping there might be some leftovers but no such luck. However, I did meet the winner of the most recent season of Canadian Idol! So for any Canadians out there who actually watched/followed the show, I met Melissa. It was really funny, she was at Les Mis too. I was in Row N and she was way up in row C and I was arguing with my BF over whether it was her...he didn't think so. On the way out we were waiting for the crowd to thin and she walked out the door and I went over and congratulated her. She was so cute...she seemed more excited than me (I apparently don't do well meeting any even semi-famous person because I was blushing like crazy). I asked her if she enjoyed the show (Les Mis...not Canadian Idol) and she said that it was her dream to see the show and she was just thrilled.
All in all a nice experience, it was nice to see that she seemed as friendly in person as she came across on tv.
