I meant that putting straight salt on a wound in your mouth is a no, no! Rinsing is fine. My sister yelled at me for putting salt directly on the sore. My husband swears that this heals it quicker so I tried it..Hurt like He## and didn't work. I remember my Pop-Pop used to tell us when we had sore throats and we were at the beach, to go into the ocean and gargle with the ocean water and it would be all better.
