She put something on them (I think it was called Bactrum or something like that, it was a medicine of some kind) and she said it would sting for a minute and then they would feel much better. It really worked....the next day they were gone. I don't know if yours are canker sores or if you bit yourself so I'm not sure this would work for you. Have you asked the Dentist for pain pills? My niece is always having gum troubles and Darvocet helps her. Also, I noticed that cold stuff was more soothing than hot stuff. OH, and stay away with any acid drinks or food like tomato sauce.
