Absolutely keep rinsing with salt water. You want the water to be so salty that you can barely stand it and make sure the water is very very warm... almost hot! I'm not sure what the conversion is for you, but it's about 1 tablespoon of salt for every 1/2 cup of water. The salt has a natural healing effect and will help to heal your sores. It may sting, but it's worth it in the long run.

As for your sore tooth... have you called your dentist? Is it for sure your tooth that hurts or is it the tissue around the tooth? Sometimes a tooth will end up more sensative after work has been done, but not generally when it's after a root canal. Your tooth shouldn't have any feeling at all because the nerve has been removed. If it still hurts, there's a possibility that they didn't get all of the nerve (sometimes a tooth will have an extra root that goes unnoticed or the root/roots are curvy which makes it difficult to completely get everything). I think if you haven't called your dentist yet, that you should let them know how you're feeling.
