Hi guys,
So as most of you know, I have had two root canals in the last little while. At my last appointment, the root canal seemed to go alright but I got three sores in my mouth. One of them on the inside of my cheek I THINK is from my biting it while it was frozen - Adrian noticed it 'cause he said my teeth were all covered in blood! He didn't tell me, though, so I wouldn't freak out. Anyway, I have that one on the side of my cheek, a huge one right under my tongue and one along the side of my tongue. They are soooo painful AND the tooth I had the FIRST root canal on is still killing me.
Any advice?? I got that orajel stuff for canker sores, but it doesn't seem to do much.. or for very long. I rinsed my mouth in salt water on the advice of my sister, which stung like crazy when I did it and I dunno if it helped any. Should I keep doing that? Why will that help?
I have been taking extra strength tylenol to sleep, and I HATE to do that 'cause I am not a big pill-taker unless I have to be.
Is there anything else I can do? Especially to make them heal up? I'll try anything at this point, I can't sleep... and I definitely can't eat. I have had MAYBE 1000 calories a day, and most of that has been from drinks. Any chewing is pretty much out of the question.
Thanks guys! --Steph
