Sorry to hear you're going through all this, but I think you're doing the right thing. It definitely isn't easy, but it seems like the best thing for you and your sons at this point. And, I don't know if it will be the same in your case, but as a child of divorce (and a divorce between my dad & stepmom, so I guess that kinda counts as two), I think it effects the parents thinking it will effect the kids more than it actually does effect the kids.
