Oh, Barbara, my heart goes out to you! Your husband sounds like a very bitter and hateful person. I know you have tried your best to stay with him for the boys' sake, but I don't know how you made it this long with him.
Do not let him make you feel guilty. You have to do what's best for you.
I can't believe he was talking about seeing another woman and telling you that single women are always worse off. He definitely has problems. It sounds like you're done everything you can to keep this marriage together and if he's not willing to change, then it's his loss.
You are a beautiful person ---and you deserve to be happy. I will pray for you during this difficult time, that God will give you the strength and courage to make it at work and through this transition period.
Just think: you have a peaceful and joyous future ahead of you without all of these burdens weighing on your heart.
