Barbara: This is a tough one. Your heart just isn't "there" anymore and that the relationship is causing you more ache. As a child of divorced parents, I was so relieved when my parents finally went through the formality of separation. I just experienced the biggest sense of PEACE. The masquerade had ended and my parents could go on to grow in their separate, different directions. It takes time though, to adjust. Congratulations on your courage and wisdom. It's a heavy decision.
