posting about problems on the boards simply creates a NEW problem on the board. If anyone, ever, has a problem with a poster or specific posts, the solution is not to reply to that poster, or to start a new thread complaining about that poster, or to start a thread in a totally different board discussing that poster. This, as far as I'm concerned, is just as much of a problem as the original troubling posts. And in case people haven't noticed, those complaint threads get deleted right along with the original problematic posts. There is nothing to be accomplished by these negative threads except animosity and hostility - and that's pretty much the exact opposite of what these boards are here for.
If someone has a problem with the board posts, the solution is to email me at Help@HelpForIBS.com and tell me about it. Give me a link to the post that is bothering you. I will take care of it.
As a side note here, I've talked to Volatile, and I think the problems with her posts have been clarified, I think she was truly apologetic, and I think she genuinely did not understand that posting questions on the board is a secondary source of information. The primary sources are the website content itself, the books, and past posts on the boards that have tons of information. ONLY if someone does not find what they're looking for via a site search, a board search, and a little research through the site content in the first place, then and only then, should they post a question. I think Volatile now understands this, and since she is genuinely feeling sick and unhappy, and we can help her, I've agreed to give her a second chance. Please respect that. If problems continue, I'll address them.
Thank you, Heather
