I went to see my first fibro specialist tonight and it was great! It was a pain management consultant called Dr. Seifert at the Hampshire Clinic in Basingstoke. He was absolutely lovely, really knowledgable and I'm so glad to be his patient now!

He did the tender point test (ouch!), got a blood test done to check for practically everything, referred me to a pscycologist, suggested I double my Amitriptyline (Elavil) dose to 20mg a day AND got me booked in to try a TENS machine TOMORROW!

I'm so chuffed...this was SUCH a positive step. And I only had to drive 25 minutes to reach him!
