Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

My understanding is that her husband could have divorced her long ago citing spousal abandonment- and that a conservative organization offered him 5 million dollars to give up custody and he refused. My husband and I talked about this just the other night (seems like the only "positive" thing to come out of the media circus is people paying attention to the need for living wills). Both of us are absolutely against living in a vegetative state for any period of time- especially if we still can think and feel. I can imagine nothing worse than being trapped inside my own body unable to speak and watching my loved ones suffer. Since I'm 26, just like she was, I can say that I would definitely want my husband to be able to move on and have the things we wouldn't have had- to get to be a father. I've never really talked about this with my family, but hopefully they would know how much I love Eric and trust his judgement concerning me.

Lucky for me, my family isn't religious or sentimental and they'd totally be fine with pulling the plug.

Edit: Also- I want to be cremated too, and to have pretty packets of my ashes (mixed with glitter) to be given out at my funeral "party." Then people can take my ashes all over the place and put them where something meaningful happened for me (so, my best friend could take some to Bristol, for example). He might have to fight for that one.
