Hhhmmmm... this is a tough one! I think that you will know when the time is right; maybe you 'know' that the time is right now! If you want children bad, you don't want the clock to run out. Or, if having biological children isn't the main issue, you could look into adoption.
Han is right, only you will know! And like Ashely said, if it is frowned on, but is managable and not FORBIDDEN, and if you want it, then go for it. It is good that you are putting alot of thought into this, but you can't completely plan how things will go once you have one.
