So, most of you guys know about my current job situation. I have just begun to start interviewing. Last week I had an interview with another firm. It went really well. They guy I met with used to work at my old firm but left before I started, however, we knew a lot of the same people. Well, it turns out he liked me a lot and probably want to offer me the job.
I received a phonecall from a guy I used to work with this week too. He has been interviewing and he mentioned me to a woman that he had interviewed with. Apparently, she was looking for a manager and he suggested me. So now she wants to meet with me. And I also have another interview this week in addition to that!
Who would have thought I'd be such a hot commodity? It feels nice to be wanted, after feeling so not wanted by my current job. For me its about respect. I feel like my current job doesn't respect me and I need to go elsewhere for that respect. Sort of like Pedro Martinez leaving Boston and signing with my hometown NY Mets. They gave him respect and more money than Boston. (FYI, for those of you who don't know Pedro Martinez is a baseball player who recently signed a $53 million 4 year contract with the Mets) That is what I am looking for was well. I mean my boss and his boss are awesome people. They really are. I just don't feel the company itself respects me. I just have to go out and get it.
