Casey! Wow, you're the anti-Aktins diet gal!
Ok, you want tough love. Ok, young lady, eat your veggies like your mom probably told you! You need them for all the lovely vitamins and your share of insoluable fiber that they provide.
You can't live on bread, although it's tempting. It will cause extra weight gain but more than that it has hardly any nutritional value. You need protein, veggies, fruit, and some fat in your diet.
The veggies that I like most and are IBS-friendly are cooked frozen corn, peas, green beans or lima beans.
Fruit: make a rice milk smoothie with frozen blueberries and strawberries. There's a whole bunch of fruit in one little old drink. Or there's applesauce, fruit leather, add some blueberries, pears or apples to pancakes, etc...
Protein: fish, chicken, beans, tofu, lentils or quinoa.
Fat: advocados, olives, peanut butter, seeds, salmon, etc...
Limit your bread serving to just two thin slices a day!
We'll get you back on track!
