Well, try the diet. It works for IBS. You don't actually say that you've avtually been diagnosed (by a GI doc) with IBS, But I'll assume you have been! This diet does work, especially if you use SFSs as well, but it does take time. You can't decide to start eating the foods again just because it hasn't worked after a week or two. It can months to stabilise and I wouldn't be surprised if you takes you a while because of everything your gut's been through! But it DOES work.

I'd recommend you take Acacia as a SFS as it seems to be gentler on most people than other SFSs and I guess you're pretty sensitive right now!

You should definitely continue taking probiotics as well. They can certainly help, particularly in cases like yours.

And yes, bloating/aching all the time can be part of IBS. Try fennel tea for the bloating and peppermint tea for the aches. Or mix the two together.

Good luck. Stick around and you'll get there. But remember while you search - there is NO wonder cure for IBS. Sorry, but it's true.
