Anyone get seasonal affective disorder?       10/16/04 06:41 PM Edit Reply Quote amo616 Reged: 08/16/04 Posts: 236 Loc: Ontario, Canada After an absolutely gorgeous Sept and two weeks of incredible weather in Oct, the boom has finally dropped and it got cold and rainy here this weekend. I live in northern Ontario and we have 5-6 months of winter, and I usually end up with pretty significant SAD by the end of December. I am just wondering if other people get SAD and how you deal with it. I am on ADs and I do have a lightbox on my desk. Unfortunately, we do not have the bucks for a trip to Florida in February. Another thing I did is paint my room pink, buy a pink floral bedspread, and buy a huge painting showing a porch with white wicker furniture overlooking a garden and a lake.
