Persistant cough need advice       12/28/05 06:23 AM Edit Reply Quote babsue Reged: 12/14/05 Posts: 4 I've had a persistant cough for about 11 weeks now. At first my GP prescribed antibiotics which i took reluctently and of course it affected my IBS badly so i stopped. I have tried countless Cough medicines but most i am allergic to as they make me ill, i cannot take anything with codeine or alcholol in it etc. The real problem i have with this cough is i have been getting severe stomach pains, wich causes stomach muscles to feel like they've been ripped and the last few days have had a new pain on the very low left side which makes me double up in agony, oh and i hardly sleep either. Sorry this is so long. I just wondered if anyone can recommend something for this non-productive cough, it's like i have to force myself to cough sometimes for several minutes before it stops.
