Okay, here we go. My goal - to lose 8 pounds by the end of the month. Food goals, this month and always: lots of protein, lots of veggies; minimal processed food, sugar, and starches. My IBS is stable, so keep that in mind, and I take a big SF dose every day. (16g/day, from Fiber Choice.) I'll write "UFO" when I'm eating food that's totally against the IBS diet. (Basically it's only ever little bits of goat cheese, and lactaid cottage cheese, both of which I've discovered I can handle.)
Here goes. First day's always easy...
2 eggs
1/4 cup (ish) frozen spinach
UFO
pear
1/2 c unsweetened soy milk
tofu
string beans
in teriyaki sauce & soy sauce, & of olive oil spray
2 small squares dark chocolate
a few carrot sticks
about 3/4 of a yellow pepper, in strips
6 almonds
medium zucchini
about 1 c canned diced tomatoes
1/4 c kidney beans
1 T (ish) olive oil
1 T nutritional yeast
UFO w/ wheat germ
According to FitDay, that's 1152, with 34% calories from fat, and 76 grams of protein. That's a bit low on calories, but I'm sure that'll average out over several days. I'm aiming for 1200, knowing that I'll be above some days, and not planning on going below. 1200 a day would mean losing roughly 2lbs per week, neither of which I plan to exactly nail, but I'm aiming high.
I was definitely hungry sometimes, but I'm trying to get used to actually feeling my hunger, and being okay with that for a bit. Hardly starving myself. I'm also trying to break a nighttime snacking habit - when I'm tired, it's very relaxing. But I need to find other ways to zone out and relax.
Thanks for reading. It's only going to get harder from here, but I'm determined to make it through the month - I'm only fighting against myself. Having you guys supporting me, even if it's just someone reading this, will really help.
8:45pm, and DONE EATING FOR THE NIGHT. I'm gonna take my last dose of Fiber Choice and brush my teeth!
Thanks for reading!
