Hey Shell,
Welcome back to the Boards.. and to the gym, it sounds like! I know it's difficult, but try not to be too hard on yourself for any weight gain - you just went through something really, really hard and it would be strange if you could just carry on as normal. My Dad just got out of the hospital after being in the ER for just over a week (no beds elsewhere) after he took a really bad fall, so I can empathize with how hard it is to make good choices when you feel like you never leave - especially when the caffeteria food isn't exactly delicious or nutritious!
Anyway, glad to see you back and if you can see my other post you'll see I am gonna try to be back on the wagon too now that the stress has died down a little.. you're not the only one who needs to get her butt back to the gym, I felt kinda winded just climbing a few flights of stairs yesterday - oy! Looks like all the work I put in before has been flushed away, ooops!
Have fun and good luck at the fun run.. I don't think the time is really that important, just that you're doing it is awesome.
